The Walt Disney Co. said Tuesday that it will soon remove the animated films from the streaming service Hulu, a move that will allow Disney-Owned TV Networks to sell the movies at their usual prices.
The decision comes less than a week after the streaming giant’s CEO, Bob Iger, announced that Hulu would be “coming to an end” on July 6.
Hulu is available in about 70 countries and is owned by Disney, which had been one of Hulu’s largest competitors.
It offers movies, TV shows, original programming and movies from a range of studios, including Pixar, 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros. and Disney.
