Collectibles store Stamps Collectibles in Washington, D.C., has filed for Chapter 11 protection.
Stamps Collectible had $6.9 million in assets at the end of March.
Its assets include stamp collection items, coins and collectibles.
The bankruptcy trustee filed a petition for protection with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court on Thursday, the company announced on its website.
StampCollectibles says the business has $1.2 million in cash on hand, and has been operating since November 2013.
Stamps is an online store, and online transactions can be made using credit cards.
The company says it’s been in the business for over six years.
